Job Responsibilities
The role of the Education Consultant is to develop and implement client education and advice programs for new business and ongoing clients. The Education Consultant will work directly with the Conversion Managers and Client Service Managers/Practice Team to consult with plan sponsors to create and implement education campaigns to address specific client needs. These campaigns may address issues around:
· Plan conversion
· Plan participation
· Increasing savings rates
· Participant advice and managed accounts
· Plan changes, asset allocation and investing strategies
· Investor needs outside of the plan
It is the responsibility of the Education Consultant to seek out the needs of the plan sponsor and then create solutions for those needs. Another critical element will be documenting campaign results and reporting those results back to the plan sponsor. This role will require the Education Consultant to develop strong working relationships with the assigned Client Service Practice Team, Conversion, and Sales teams. Position to be located in Richfield, OH or Phoenix.
Qualifications
Prefer 8+ years experience in Qualified Retirement Plans, Financial Planning, Employee Benefits, or an equivalent Sales or Direct Marketing background is required 4+ years of related industry experience to include proven communication skills and effective public speaking is required Strong standup presentation skills and proven sales experience is required Demonstrated ability to create, communicate and implement a focused Education Program for clients using proven project management skills is required Must be technically savvy and have a core understanding of our role in empowering participants with knowledge and engaging participants to take action A basic understanding of ERISA, pension/trust compliance, DC and DB plans is preferred QKA certification is appealing Broad and comprehensive knowledge of Retirement Plans Services and Schwab products, services, and delivery channels is preferred Solid knowledge of investments and financial planning Good organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and complete them within established deadlines
· Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
