Business Developer/Outside Sales (GIS to Federal/Government Agencies)
IGIS Technologies is looking for a Sales Representative to sell GIS consulting services: application development, data development and instructor led/e-learning training. This person will cultivate new territory from their current contacts/networks and must have a sales hunter mentality and know how to get in front of government/federal agencies.
Requirements:
· 5 plus years of current business development/outside sales experience selling to federal agencies
· 5 plus years of current outside sales of IT/engineering services and GIS
· Current military client contact network and understanding of GSA, 8(a) and SDB contacting designations.
· Demonstrated knowledge of of federal procurement and contracting procedures is a must; understanding of the GIS industry is a plus.
· Experience closing multi million dollar deals, consultative and long sales cycle
· Must have current contacts and strong relationships with at least 3 or more of the following: Department of Defense (DoD) Army, Navy, Marines, SPAWAR, US Navy, US Army, US Air Force, US Marines, OHS, Coast Guard or government/federal engineering divisions
· Demonstrated sales record is a must with at least 3 years of federal sales experience in the geospatial industry
· Energetic, achievement-oriented individual with a disciplined work ethic
· Provide clear note-taking for client tracking and present concepts clearly
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· Travel to key conferences and client meetings will be necessary. Applicants living in San Diego, Colorado and Washington D.C. are strongly encouraged to apply (for the right candidate, we will consider anywhere in the U.S.)
