Job Summary:
To maintain and update the blueprint / specifications of all IT business applications and network systems for the entire company enterprise. Able to identify the procedures required to re-establish operations from various types of business disruptions. Lead the company’s transformation from the traditional DR-centric recovery model to the ITIL Service Continuity model (ITSCM). Serve as the company thought leader for business continuity.

Job Responsibilities:

Update and maintain the current company-wide IT business enterprise blueprint / specifications.Lead the development and management of the company’s new ITSCM plan.Manage periodic DR tests incrementally across all the company’s varied applications and networks .Conduct periodic audits of current DR procedures.Lead meetings with business process owners regarding expected SLA requirements .Participate in IT design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations.Research, analyze and recommend technologies and products to increase competitive advantage, lower cost, and increase operational efficiencies.Stay current with industry best-practices in disaster recovery and business continuity.

Job Requirements:

BS degree in computer science or related field. 5+ years in design, development and improvement of disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Experience in high-volume transaction-processing environments desirable. Working knowledge of ITIL’s ITSCM program.Direct experience in the recovery of highly available & diverse systems platforms including mainframe, midrange server, web services and networking platforms. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, within and outside of IT.Certification from Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) or the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) and member of the BCI (MBCI).
