Key Responsibilities
The Business Application Manager position is responsible for managing all areas of support for the patient accounting application/system, specifically the Siemens Patient Accounting Module. This position reports to the Director of Business Systems, and will be responsible for supervising and managing a team of support personnel. This position will work in conjunction with the team to: Maintain Siemens Invision Patient Accounting (PA) and Patient Management (PM) files: Options Master List (OML), Payor Responsibility Master (PRM), Room and Bed Master, Charge Master (CDM), Selected Doctor Master, Receivables Policy Manager (RPM) Receivables Management Workstation (RMW), PM profiles (PRINS, PRSVC, etc.). Support implementation, monthly patches (SUPs) and upgrades of the Patient Account Applications. Work with Director of Patient Accounting and Director of Business Systems to plan and prioritize projects. Set priorities with staff for reviewing current operations and implementing most efficient best practices using software or process changes. Build and modify system pathways for existing and future applications: NDC Premis/ePremis (claims), HDX (electronic remittance) systems, document imaging system, Groupware policies and procedures software, and future applications. Write, schedule, and distribute queries and reports. Tools will include Siemens ad-hoc reports, Express Query, and AnyQue software. Monitor and audit proper updating of the system including OLIE scripts and RPM logic. Review and standardize user documentation and schedule internal user training. Prepare test data and debus pathways. Maintain security groups in conjunction with IS Security department. Attend training, seminars and vendor user gorups. Instruct users on same, within established deadlines.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree. Patient Accounting Software Experience Required. Siemens Invision experience preferred. Minimum of two years application support management experience with a staff of four or more. Strong customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communications, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills. Successful ability to work both independently and on teams. Familiarity with Siemens and related healthcare systems. Clear understanding of support services across a hospital environment. Previous hospital billing experience is a highly recommended. Proficient with PC's and Windows based software (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Monarch, etc.).
