BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL ANALYST

The selected candidate will be responsible for cost proposal preparation; cost estimation; budget development; monitoring and forecasting costs; and providing effective cost controls and risk mitigation plans to assist program managers to effectively manage projects. The qualified candidate must have good communication skills to work with various departments and levels of the company and ability to provide professional judgment and advise on contractual and financial issues; offer skilled interpretations on financial reports; have strong analytical skills; and be detail oriented. The selected candidate will provide customized reports to the program managers as required; will standardize how project financial data is analyzed, reviewed and reported externally – meeting client and program manager objectives. The person in this position will directly support internal and external project reviews to include preparation of cost/financial status display charts and tables.

The desirable candidate will serve in coordinator capacity between Annapolis Junction and the corporate office to support procurement and subcontracting transactions – essentially routing and tracking and troubleshooting on behalf of the program managers to the extent possible with the corporate procurement and subcontracting functions/activities.

The qualified candidate must possess a BA/BS degree in a Business discipline plus 4-6 years directly related experience. Understanding of budget development and revenue forecasting in a government contracting environment is also a requirement as well as experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
