Business Analyst For Global Strategy and Business Re-Engineering

 

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

Global Strategy and Business Re-Engineering is focused on driving strategic, industry, technological and consolidation initiatives for Capital Markets and Banking. With the business growing in all regions, business (Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, and needs to keep pace by driving various strategic initiatives to achieve a standardized efficient processing environment. G-Sabre interacts with partners across the globe to establish best practices based on business needs. The group works closely with senior management to understand end-to-end processing of complex Capital Markets transactions in order to provide Business analysis, project planning and project implementation for various key initiatives.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

Assisting with pre-execution screening of new Capital Markets products to dimension infrastructure breaks (front office risk systems, credit risk systems, financial and regulatory reporting and Operational including settlements, confirmation and collateral). Maintaining processing systems to ensure end to end transaction support of non-standard Capital Markets products until enhancements are implemented or for the life of the transaction. Help various partners in doing detailed analysis of processes and workflows for derivatives, loans and Foreign Exchange. Analyze business needs against the best platforms & tools available globally. Assist in creating business requirements, technical specifications, implementation & test plans. To be done in partnership with the respective business users and technology teams. Assist in training regional teams on our Global processes and systems, as part of project implementations. Create partnerships with the various regional operations teams, leveraging the analyst's expertise and business experience. Work with other analysts on the team to ensure that overall project goals are met.

 

KEY CHALLENGES:

Work well with the large number of Global business partners. Quick learner and self-starter to learn and apply desktop applications to gather and distribute information. Quick to understand Senior management information needs and to scope out requests. Ability to deliver results under tight time frames. Managing multiple functions, projects and tasks simultaneously.

QUALIFICATIONS:10-15 years of operations, technology, financial or risk management experience. Knowledge of Derivative, Loans & Foreign Exchange products and platforms preferred. Detailed knowledge of valuation and pricing processes and procedures.  Experience managing Operational processes, with global staff 30+ individuals.  Project management skills. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to build consensus. History of success working in a team environment. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. International travel may be required.
