2-3 Consultants Needed ASAP!

Scripting, NAnt, MSBuild, TFSBuild, PowerShell, Perl, Source Control, Testing, SharePoint Server, CruiseControl

A home shopping leader in the field of Fashion and Home Decoration has an immediate need for Build and Release Engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Build and Release Engineer: Develops, enhances, and maintains a fully automated software Build and Release system. Performs on-demand Builds and Releases to different test environments. Maintains Source Control system (Team Foundation Server). Manages and implements the branching policy, including branch creation and re-integration (merges). Establishes, implements, and maintains continuous integration on multiple code branches. Identifies, creates, and implements processes and tools to efficiently manage releases. Creates and/or selects tools that improve Engineering team effectiveness in the areas of: Source Code Control Branching Product Release

These are estimated 6-month positions, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in New York City. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies on the East Coast.


Requirements:

Required Skills for Build and Release Engineers include the following:

REQUIRED Technical Skills: Minimum two (2) years of recent professional experience as a Build and/or Release Engineer within an Engineering organization Minimum two (2) years of experience with Scripting languages: NAnt MSBuild TFSBuild PowerShell Perl In-depth knowledge of and experience with Source Control Management, preferably Team Foundation Server Experience with Source Code Repository Branching and Merging for multiple concurrent code branches Must be capable of writing Testing scripts as well as scripts for managing Build/Test framework Experience in developing tools that enhance and inject efficiency into the Development process Proven ability to create and/or deploy Web Interfaces reporting on multi-platform automated builds and test suites (i.e. TFS Build Reporting, SharePoint Server, CruiseControl)

PLUS Technical Skills (Highly desired, but not required for consideration): Knowledge of SQL Server Experience as a Test Engineer
