JOB DESCRIPTION:
UPS Supply Chain Solutions is currently seeking a Brokerage Supervisor II to impact the organization by supervising the processing of documents in compliance with US customs and other government regulatory agency requirements.
The Brokerage Supervisor II responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Managing the workload of hourly-paid staff (typically up to 15-20 people in a small brokerage office or remote location) Developing team goals, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, and training hourly-paid employees on compliance with regulations and requirements Maintain productivity and meet goals Demonstrate leadership skills and be well informed on issues of international commerce and transportation industry changes Analyze data and ABI results, interpret results, and develop resolutions for problemsAs a member of UPS SCS Management, this individual also has responsibilities in budgeting/financial administration, functional administration, and staff management (including career development, staffing, performance management, and organizational development) for all employees in the department. A Brokerage Supervisor typically reports to a Brokerage Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
A Customs Brokerage License is required. An Associates degree (two-year college degree) or equivalent experience relevant to the job is required. Generally, three to five years brokerage experience including a two years of supervisory experience is required. This experience should include proficiency in advanced classification and valuation skills. Candidates must be able to demonstrate proficiency in US customs regulations and other government agency regulations This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to this classification.
