BRANCH MANAGER

ECD/HOPE COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION – Biloxi, Mississippi

 

 

SUMMARY:  Responsible for operations of the branch, local marketing, and outreach efforts.  Supervise all branch staff, open and close the branch daily, maintain adequate level of security, sign-off on daily transactions of all branch staff, ensure cash balances are maintained at correct levels, ensure deposits are made to correspondent bank daily, sign up new members, and handle any branch issues.  Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

 

Ø  Open and close branch

Ø  Review all daily transactions

Ø  Maintain adequate security over cash

Ø  Sign-up new members

Ø  Receive share certificate requests

Ø  Perform duties under the city marketing plan

Ø  Provide management access wherever dual-control is necessary

Ø  Process and approve wire transfers

Ø  Perform community outreach activities

Ø  Provide excellent customer service

Ø  Provide positive leadership for branch personnel

Ø  Back-up consumer loan officer when necessary

Ø  Back-up member services representatives when necessary

Ø  Monitor branch for compliance with policies and procedures

Ø  Comply with the provision of the Bank Secrecy Act

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

Ø  Working knowledge of word processor spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.

Ø  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.

Ø  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rate, ration, percent, and interpret data.

Ø  Problem solving capability

Ø  Excellent customer and public relation skills

Ø  Ability to handle monetary instruments and make transactions accurately.

 

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Bachelor’s Degree, business concentration preferred

3 plus years experience in banking/mortgage

Supervisory/Management experience
