Our client, a non-profit organization in Boston, is hiring a Program Assistant. The Program Assistant will work closely with the Program Director to further the organization’s activities related to education, public policy, and certification.
Projects and duties will include:
- Coordinate abstract process for annual conferences; Support sub-committee of conference planning process and aid with program development; Serve as front-line member of customer service and registration team; Coordinate special projects related to conference planning;
- Research public policy statements; Assist with the drafting of public policy statements; Support public policy activities, including arranging committee conference calls and meetings, and taking minutes;
- Support advisory group of membership; Monitor member listserv; Provide support to membership manager on dues processing; Collaborate with the program director on the creation and distribution of PRIM&R's monthly membership newsletter;
- Develop content for educational programs, conferences, webinars, newsletters, and website; Contribute to the development of an online educational program scheduled to launch in 2008; Coordinate "subscription service"; Work with executive director on oral history project; Serve as member of PRIM&R's customer service team, answer phone and e-mail inquiries about events and reaching out to members on weekly basis.
Qualifications: The position requires a highly intelligent and highly responsible individual with exemplary project c coordination and organizational skills. The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills and an interest in bioethics and/or research ethics. Additional qualifications include: (1) a BA/BS, and (2) at least two years experience in public health and/or non-profits. Dedication, enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a committed work ethic are also a must. Experience with Microsoft Office is required
