Company is seeking a professional Bookkeeper. We are a growing firm that handles real estate development and construction management. Located in both New Jersey and New York, we are currently managing a wide range of commercial and residential construction projects in Long Island City and in Manhattan. We are seeking highly motivated players to join our team.
Job Description:
SUMMARY
Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions. Ensure company bookkeeping procedures conform to generally accepted bookkeeping principles.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, create, organize, and maintain books and fiscal functions. Handle company’s bills, invoices, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and bank transactions. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements. Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. Work directly with company's accountant Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLREQUIREMENTS
Expertise in Excel, QuickBooks, AIA Documents, payroll, certificates of insurance, G-702/G-703, bank requisitions, lien waivers, check requests, sub-requisitions. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience in construction is a must. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. General hours are M-F 8:30-5:00, however from time to time additional hours might be required. Job location is in Jersey City, NJ.
