Description:

WE HAVE AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE ON OUR TEAM FOR A BOILER & MACHINERY INSPECTOR 1 - WINSTON SALEM, NC.

The Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB) is seeking a Boiler and Machinery Inspector to perform inspections.

This individual should have 3-5 years of experience with boilers, pressure vessels and industrial, mechanical and electrical equipment.


** What You Will Be Doing **:

Inspect insured risks regularly for the purpose of accident prevention using Company-provided equipment, including computer, to determine accident-producing conditions existing in insured boiler, mechanical and electrical equipment.

Inspect insured objects for compliance with jurisdictional laws.

Inspect risks to determine if they represent normal exposure, gather and submit accurate data to enable Company Underwriters to assign the proper premium for the exposure.

Schedule inspections as assigned.


** What We Require **:

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* 3-5 years of experience operating and maintaining boilers, turbines and machinery. Applicants must have enough experience to qualify for the National Board Exam.

* Basic computer knowledge and algebra skills.

* Must be able to communicate in both written and verbal forms.


** What We Desire **:

* National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission.

* Technical College Graduate.

* Engineering degree (BSME, BSEE or BSChE).

* Understanding of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel and Power Point.
