We have an immediate opportunity for a Biologist I for our client, a leading provider of agricultural products and integrated solutions for farmers. For this role, the candidate will assist in conducting insect bioassays and microbiological testing Duties would include: (1) rearing and maintaining insect colonies for insect bioassays, (2) performing insect bioassays to support laboratory and field studies (3) conducting bioassays to support characterization and certification of insecticidal protein standards, (4) performing preliminary data analysis and summary writing and (5) preparation and plating of microbiological media. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate who can work well in a team-based environment. A Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field is required for this role. The candidate will have a fundamental background in related areas of biology, such as entomology or microbiology; knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, familiarity with aseptic technique; excellent written communication skills; organizational and data documentation skills.
