Aerotek's client, a large pharmaceutical company in Seattle, is looking for a qualified biologist to join their team.

Qualifications:
BS in Biology or related field - One or more years of general laboratory experience in molecular biology or other biotechnology field - Tissue homogenization and nucleic acid extraction experience desired - Very effective organizational and communication skills - Strong interpersonal and demonstrated team work skills - Use of MS Office applications for problem solving and data presentation.

Responsibilities:
- Effectively use liquid handling robotic automation in accordance with standard operating procedures. - Effectively use the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to complete directed gene expression experiments. - Effectively train on and perform new and updated protocols quickly and competently. - Work methodically and in an organized and timely manner to produce high-quality data, minimizing errors. - With little supervision, understand and perform specific tasks that need completion on a daily basis. As needed, provide support to others to complete their daily assigned work; including technical and prioritization assistance. - Work individually and as part of a team in order to perform specific, prioritized objectives. - Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures. Observe and record non-conformance issues - Adhere to specific laboratory safety policies by wearing personal protective equipment.
