Job Description:
This position is in a diverse group that manufactures antibodies for diagnostic use under GMP/ISO conditions. Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry with 0 - 2 years experience required. The successful applicant will have experience in protein purification from recombinent and non-recombinent sources. Related experiience in protein analysis by physical methods (SDS-PAGE, IEF, MALDI, CGE etc.) is very desirable. Expereince in immunochemical methods and antibody characterization (ELISA, Biacore, MALLS) would also be a plus. Knowledge of growing mammalian cells such as hybridomas for protein production in continuous culture (bioreactor) would also be useful.
The position will involve interaction with development and production teams at other locations and may also require supervision of 1 or 2 scientists, so effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are a necessity.
