We are currently recruiting for a Bilingual (Spanish) Collections Specialist!

As a Bilingual Collections Specialist for HSBCT, you will be responsible for Collection Call Activity (Soft Collections) in our Houston, Texas regional office OR in our Wayne, PA office. 

Position Description:

A Bilingual Collections Specialist will provide collection support for Latin American customers.

 

In addition, you will communicate information to field management regarding any customer experiencing cash flow problems. A Collections Specialist works closely with appropriate field and Valley Forge (Wayne, PA) personnel on business and technical matters to maintain the integrity of business information.

As a Collections Specialist, the ability to work effectively with others, both internally and externally is required.

 

Additional duties and requirements are:

Conversational Spanish language skills.  The ability to converse and correspond in both Spanish and English. Ability to work with limited direction. Detail oriented. Clear written and verbal communications skills, including effective telephone skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Sound problem solving skills.   Ability to work with a wide range of individuals in the company at different levels of management and skills. Ability to work effectively in a Team Environment. Communicating process improvements to Manager.

Education and Experience: 

An Associates Degree or equivalent work experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is desired. 1 to 3 years experience in collection activity, with emphasis on improving > 90 days open invoices. 1 to 3 years using cash management software. Working knowledge of Accounting Principles. Excellent PC skills and proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel (above basic knowledge, including functions like creating an MS Excel spreadsheet, entering data into cells, sorting data, insert formulas etc.,) and Windows 2000 operating system. Proficiency with an email application, preferably Lotus Notes.
