Description: Seeking experienced MicroStrategy Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing Expert interested in transforming healthcare. The BI Expert will be a valued member of a focused, dynamic team that is building an Integrated Outcomes Data Warehouse in support of healthcare operations improvement. Large amounts of heath informatics data will need to be modeled and then architected within MicroStrategy. Reporting objects will be built in support of multiple applications, including internal and external quality and safety dashboards, various clinical analytics and institutional operations improvement efforts. Specific tasks include: creation of both schema and public objects; use of Warehouse Catalog, Object Manager, Enterprise Manager, Project Source Manager; as well as, administration of MicroStrategy Projects, and Servers. Qualifications: 3 years of experience specific to BI/DWH implementations, using MicroStrategy BI Platform 8.0 or later to support development, test and production environments

BS or BA, CS preferred

Demonstrated ability to architect projects and develop reports utilizing the MicroStrategy BI Platform

Demonstrated ability to create, manage and administer MicroStrategy metadata

Ability to design, build and test MicroStrategy reports of varying complexity

Ability to diagnose and resolve issues utilizing concepts such as query flow and tools such as the MicroStrategy Knowledge Base

Ability to administer MicroStrategy projects and servers

Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling

Experience with MicroStrategy BI Platform 8.0 or later

Familiarity with SQL, especially SQL of the type generated by the MicroStrategy Intelligence Server

Critical thinking and the ability to problem-solve based on first-principles and empirical methods

Strong oral and written communication skills



Desirable:

Experience with service development and application administration of MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server

Experience in healthcare environment ' especially knowledge of hospital and clinical source systems

Experience with JAVA-based web development, especially utilizing the MicroStrategy Web SDK

Experience with MicroStrategy installations on the Microsoft Windows OS

Experience with Sybase PowerDesigner v.12 or later

Experience with the IBM Information Server, especially Information Analyzer, DataStage and Quality Stage

Experience with Oracle RDBMS

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
