Implement change on a national level with Kaiser Permanente! Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Benefits Implementation Manager who will lead the organization in the definition of requirements to administer Healthcare industry standard benefit policies and designs. You will work closely with the Regions and National office to define standard and consistent solutions to meeting benefit requirements for the self-funded and commercial programs. As a member of Kaiser Permanentes National Benefits Implementation team, you will: Partner with regional benefits teams to define benefits requirements to meet market changes in benefit product offerings. Define implementation approaches and common solutions across the regions to implement new benefit offerings. Outline benefit administrative requirements for new benefit policies and standardize benefit designs. Collaborate with KP Health Connect, Health Plan Services Administration, and other stakeholders to define business process and system requirements to support benefit standardization. Assess new business strategies/objectives/requirements and develop recommended processes and polices for presentation to product leadership. Determine the most effective characterization of business alternatives in business cases to support major investments. Ensure that all actions and decisions made across regions and functions support established strategies and improved performance. Interface with national and regional leaders regarding progress and challenges of affecting process changes across regions. Works autonomously with communities of Interest (Claims, Benefits, etc.) in the implementation of benefits. Direct highly technical individual contributors across departments or units in a functional or geographic area, including external resources and/or matrixed employees. Define, develop, document and implement formal policies and procedures related to benefits and product Administration. Have knowledge of complex project management processes, tools, techniques and methodologies to lead large scale effort Ability to determine the key risks that need to be addressed and develop actions plans that are multi-faceted in nature and include both business process and system components Comprehensive knowledge of health insurance benefits, health plan administration and operational needs for Self-Funded products. Minimum qualifications include: 10 years experience in the Healthcare industry health plan operations roles such as benefits program administration, claims, case installation, or process improvement . Comprehensive knowledge of benefits/claims payment/billing. Experience with medical provider office coding, billing, and/or payor claims processing. Experience in leading and managing large complex projects, affecting multiple stakeholders and applications, preferably in a multi-regional or multi-business unit organization. Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required. Masters degree preferred Preferred qualifications include: Experience in highly matrixed organization. Ability to educate and influence complex, cross-functional business partners on benefits and product administration.
