AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is searching for an Employee Benefits Coordinator to join our HR Department. This position is to work on a fulltime/temporary basis and it is based out of our Administrative Offices in Los Angeles, California. The hours/days are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Manager of Compensation, Benefits and HRMS, the Employee Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the administration and implementation of the company’s group insurance benefits programs, group health, dental, life and other benefits programs, and various reports as required.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 3 years combined experience and education. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and on-line benefits administration systems. Must have knowledge of local, state, federal OSHA, labor laws, rules and regulations. Previous experience in responding to unemployment claims preferred. Must be experienced and sensitive to working with diverse groups of people. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes all insurance paperwork including COBRA enrollments, Leave of absences, premiums, and updates employee deductions in the system. Ensures that all activities relating to the benefits programs are communicated throughout the company via newsletters, email correspondence, and memos. Facilitates on-line orientation sessions for employees. Administers leave of absence program, including FMLA. Responds to Unemployment Claims in a timely manner. Provides accurate data to ensure proper billing. Acts as a liaison between the HR Department and Payroll Department regarding payroll deductions. Maintains confidentiality and discretion while protecting the assets and information of the company within the scope of duties. Manages the organization’s on-line training programs. Maintains and manages 401K plans.
