This position is located in our HI, Schofield facility
Army Battle Command System (ABCS) subject matter expert is a position requiring technical expertise on computers as well as knowledge of the Army's tactical planning process and staff integration. The position will require its trainers to learn and teach multiple ABCS while remaining proficient as the subject matter expert on ones own primary system. In addition, trainers will participate in collective training exercises in support of the Battle Command Training Center (BCTC) on Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
The candidate will be a technically proficient professional that can perform the following duties.
1. School trained Instructor who has taught formal instruction in the classroom environment.
2. Trained and/or certified on the following systems: Force XXI, Battle Command, Brigade and Below-Blue Force Tracker (FBCB2-BFT) and Force XXI, Battle Command, Brigade and Below-Enhanced Positioning Location System (FBCB2-EPLRS)
3. Have an understanding of networking, data feeds and configuration settings for each system.
4. Understand how each system operates in an Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) 6.4 environment and provide support for the integration of other ABCS workstations into that architecture.
5. Good working knowledge of Windows and a logistics background.
6. Capable of writing, editing, and reviewing programs of instructions (POI) and computer base training disc. Use the Program Manager's (PM) technical website to remain abreast of the most recent tactics, techniques and procedures for training each system.
7. Participate as part of a team in support of the Battle Command Training Center (BCTC), Hawaii and all of its collective exercises.
8. Participate in special projects as required and be able to travel and work extended hours to include nights or weekends.
9. May be required to travel to teach classes at other installations and/or attend and support training requirements as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, work experience, or military experience
Prefer 8-10 years of directly related training experience.
Secret clearance required.
