Position Description:
Fort Washington Savings Bank has an immediate opening for a Banking Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have at least a year to two years of experience as a bank teller, reaching a lead role in the retail banking industry.

Processes and approves banking transactions for clients within specified limits. Verifies endorsements, enters deposits, issues checks, prepares transaction reports, and balances daily work. Assists clients with establishing and closing out accounts, addresses inquiries regarding account status and cross sells the bank's products and services. Provides excellent customer care to customers regarding daily transactions, addressing inquiries, and problem resolution, in accordance with Fort Washington Savings policies. Refers customers to the appropriate business partner for products and services uncovered during business interactions and/or conversations. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible to make an established range of decisions, escalating to manager when necessary and updates manager on a regular basis.

Position Requirements:
• Assists clients in establishing and closing accounts, addressing inquiries regarding account status and cross selling the bank's products and services. Throughout the customer experience, provides excellent customer care and problem resolution while promoting good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction in accordance with Fort Washington Savings policies.
• Has a developed rapport with the customer base, has knowledge of account ownership, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude.
• Acts with confidence by answering or finding the answers to customer questions and finding solutions to customer issues.
• Maintains a position of trust and responsibility by keeping all customer business confidential.
• Follows the W&SFG Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times.
• Performs daily office responsibilities, working with the Assistant Manager, to maintain the efficient operation of the office.
• Maintains personally a balancing record that is in line with policy and has the ability to find and correct outages and to enlist help as needed for more difficult errors.
• Maintains knowledge of the bank policies and financial center procedures, and take responsibility to keep up to date on any changes.
• Handles customer problems with professionalism, directing more complex issues seamlessly to the Assistant Manager, or other management as necessary.
• Demonstrates sound judgment in decision making, abiding appropriately to established guidelines and procedures.
• Consistently meets or exceeds sales referrals as set by management.
• Maintains a well-developed working knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered, taking responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.
• Initiates conversations to uncover customer needs and be capable of effectively referring customers to WS Agents for the selling and cross selling of bank products and services to customers, so that personal and Bank goals are consistently met and/or exceeded.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
