Position Purpose:

The Store Marketing Specialist will drive sales and guest counts of the designated market and

build Babies“R”Us brand awareness and loyalty throughout the local market.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a local marketing strategy to increase sales, guest counts and

registry creates while building brand awareness and loyalty in the store market

o Work closely with the District Marketing Manager, District Manager, Store

Manager and Selling Assistant Manager to develop a local marketing strategy for

the store market

o Partner with the District Marketing Manager to ensure the strategy meets

objectives and includes national and district marketing initiatives

• Work with the Store Manager (SM) on all marketing initiatives and gain support from the SM

to continue support from the Store Team.

• Execute National, District and Store Marketing plans and events

• Execute or Assist in Grand Opening Events as needed

• Public Relations

o Work with the media on an as needed basis

o Media spokesperson

• Work with Store Management to ensure that store promotions are executed

• Build and maintain relationships within the community (i.e. Hospitals, Physicians and Media)

• Understanding of return on investment for budgetary purposes

• Responsible for reporting progress and success to the District Marketing Manager

• Annual review of marketing efforts

Qualifications:

• Advertising/marketing education or experience required

• Strong communication and networking skills

• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and with many levels of management

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

• Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
