GPS Manufacturer/Distributor Participate in and support software testing, software quality assurance, and aircraft configuration activities for Garmin's avionics products.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
 
Perform documentation, development, and testing activities related to aircraft configuration Work closely with product development teams to develop test plans that will be used to ensure quality and usability of Garmin products Perform testing according to plans to ensure quality and compliance with stated requirements Analyze test results and communicate with product development teams to assist in problem resolution Create documentation and Engineering Change Orders in support of software releases Perform software quality assurance activities in support of software releases OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other job-related duties as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
 
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or sufficient relevant experience Excellent academics (composite GPA ³ 3.0) Superior organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and quality Excellent oral and written communication skills Other education and/or experiences as required for the specific projects he/she will work on Experience or training in creating test plans, conducting tests, and/or writing test scripts is preferred DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Experience with RTCA DO-178B software certification testing procedures Private pilot's license, ground school experience, or an interest in aviation Experience or training in high level computer languages such as C and C++ and scripting languages
