GPS Manufacturer/Distributor

 

Provide pilot-oriented product support on all Garmin aviation products, to include technical and sales support and other customer service related actions related to the product line.  Develop extensive expertise on the operation of all Garmin aviation products within the various airspace systems around the world.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receive and answer customer inquiries and requests regarding products, orders, pricing and other services offeredWork with customers to determine which products, accessories and plan of action best serves their individual needsRemain current on changes in policies, procedures, and product offeringsReport any and all out-of-line conditions affecting customer satisfactionDevelop and maintain department and company image and philosophy to the publicBecome highly knowledgeable in the specifications, capabilities and operation of Garmin productsAnswer customer technical inquires regarding Garmin products via telephone, letters, fax and electronic mailMonitor, document and report failure trends in Garmin equipmentIdentify and recommend improvements in Garmin products, documentation and proceduresReview special circumstances and authorize warranty service when deemed appropriateProvide operational support for Garmin’s aviation products

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as liaison between customer and members of other departments within GARMINAccept and complete projects and other miscellaneous Aviation Support duties as assignedRepresent Garmin at industry and professional meetings and conferences

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Team Player 1+ years Customer Service experience High school diploma or equivalent Positive attitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to grasp new concepts quickly Data entry skills Proficiency on personal computers Private Pilot with Instrument rating and 300 hours total time, minimum 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Aviation Electronics background Aviation maintenance experience Certified Flight Instructor — Instrument
