As an Assurance Manager you will apply your educational background, experience and industry knowledge of business issues, trends and economics as you work on clients of the Firm. You will supervise, direct and review the results of an Audit on a given client engagement, which includes problem solving and delegating various tasks throughout all stages of an audit, including planning, fieldwork and "wrap-up". You may be responsible for teaching and instructing those with less experience. You may be the main client contact for questions and information as well as be responsible for engagement profitability including billings and collections. As a Manager, you will be responsible for marketing, networking and business development within your area of experience. Other typical responsibilities will include advising the client on various economic and legal risks in their given industry, resolving complex accounting issues, identifying and discussing key financial and non-financial performance measures, formulating and communicating the audit plan, applying GAAP and GAAS consistently in complex situations, suggesting generally accepted alternative accounting procedures, drafting potentially complex financial statements and disclosures and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. You will also apply your experience and knowledge of business processes by making suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures. Principal Responsibilities: Take ownership of the supervision of the audit process on multiple engagements.. Prepare financial statements with disclosures Review of client SEC filings Able to resolve complex accounting issues Able to be responsible for engagement profitability including billings and collections Responsible for training and supervising Associates Document, validate, develop tests and assess various control systems Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Related Field, MBA in Accounting a plus Current CPA Licensure 5+ Years Experience Experience with SEC clients Ability to communicate and build relationships with clients and business partners Engagement economics 3+ years supervisory experience Project and team management
