Description:
Plans, supervises and reviews multiple audit engagements and other client assignments. Leadership role in development of engagement plan; Monitor and supervise progress of Senior Associates and Associates, overall audit plan and budget to actual progress; Develop relationship with client management and ownership and communicate engagement status and issues effectively and timely; maintain contact throughout the year; Demonstrate thorough understanding of client's operations, financial condition and industry in which it operates; Demonstrate effective research and problem solving skills; Effectively delegate tasks to facilitate professional development and efficient utilization of firm resources; Perform technical review of engagements; Keep senior managers/partners apprised of audit issues and progress through timely communication; Consistently demonstrate ability to resolve engagement issues, consulting with senior manager/partner as necessary; Excel at prioritizing and managing multiple engagements within given timeframe and budget. Develop extensive knowledge in niche area; Assist and mentor Senior Associates and Associates, cultivating an environment that challenges and encourages; Provide feedback on performance of Senior Associates and Associates; Develop an appropriate plan of professional development and take responsibility to ensure that plan is executed; Assist in preparation of proposals and potential client fee estimates; Become involved in billing responsibilities and related issues; Become involved in firm and service line administrative duties as requested. Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA with 5-7 years experience in public accounting; Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise Senior Associates within the oil and gas industry; External audit experience; Proven ability to manage and develop staff; Strong relationship management and practice development skills; Experience with exploration and production types of audits (SEC) preferred.
