Maxim Government Services (MGS), a division of Maxim Healthcare Services, is currently in search of an Audiologist for a locum tenens assignment at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA.  This is a full time hour, 3 month assignment with the possibility of extension for an additional 3 months.

Position Duties / Details:

The audiologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic audiology and hearing aid services and compensation and pension audiological evaluations for our veteran patient population.

Clinical findings shall be documented in the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS); records will be complete, timely, and in compliance with VA Medical Center policies, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Joint Commission.

Experience/Qualifications Needed:

Must hold a minimum of a Masters Degree in Audiology.

Personnel assigned to perform the services covered by this contract shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.  The qualifications of such personnel shall also be subject to review by the VA Chief of Staff and approval by the VA Medical Center Director.

Physicians providing services under this contract must be properly credentialed and privileged according to JCAHO requirements and shall hold or be eligible to obtain Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech- Language – Hearing Association. 

Physicians and personnel providing services under this contract must speak and write English proficiently.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.  Some Saturday work may be required, not to exceed a 40 hour work week.
