We're the new AT&T, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world.

1. Provides national information services to customers by accessing various databases.

2. Assists customers in placing person-to-person, collect and credit card calls, third party billed calls and/or other  type calls that are offered.

3. Furnishes area codes, dialing instructions, and other miscellaneous information to callers.

4. Handles emergency calls; special assistance calls for people who are unable to dial; and local or toll calls that  require operator assistance.

5. Handles special requests, i.e., credit, trouble reports, etc.

6. Records billing data when necessary for credit.

7. Refers or connects customer to appropriate operator or department for requested information.

8. Handles intercept calls to disconnected or changed numbers.

9. Refers equipment trouble, call irregularities, and inaccuracies in reference material to appropriate supervisor 

10. Provides courteous, efficient, and accurate customer service.

11. Works in a Call Center in close proximity with others performing similar tasks.

12. Wears a headset during working hours.

13. Works in one position utilizing keyboard equipment and video display terminal for extended periods of time. 

14. Requires repetitive hand and wrist motions.

 

AT&T offers an excellent benefits package including fully paid medical plans for all fulltime employees starting 6 months after

hire date.  Dental, pension, and 401K plans are also offered!  This position will pay $7.70/hour plus an incentive plan based

upon performance starting at $.75 up to $2.00 per hour additional.  In addition, you will receive automatic raises every 6 months

up to 36 months.

Candidates must meet the following Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

 

Required Testing: Job Fit Inventory.

 

Other Requirements:  Satisfactory completion of a background and employment investigation as well as drug screen.  Satisfactory performance and attendance is expected. 

 

Training:  On-the-job and/or classroom training as required must be satisfactorily completed to remain on the job.  Predetermined basic training curriculum.

 

Schedule:  Work various scheduled tours including day, evening and night, covering Sunday thru Saturday with overtime, callouts and holiday work as required.  Tour length will 8 hours.

 

Work Environment:  Work in close proximity with others taking customer calls; no control over work flow; and work under close supervision.  Use repetitive hand and wrist motions and wear a headset to perform functions.

 

ADDITIONAL FACTORS TO BE CONSIDERED

Previous training or experience in this area desirable.

Skill in verbal communication and customer service.

Ability to speak a second language in some assignments.

 

Center Hours: 24 hours, 7 days a week. The hours may be subject to change based on the needs of business.
