Associate Product Manager, Learning Management Systems We are looking for a dynamic and energetic addition to our team! Our main delivery channel is a web-based suite of services that is growing rapidly and currently includes an online archive of research, downloadable tools, dial-in webinars, live benchmarking, virtual executive communities, and e-Learning. We are seeking an Associate Product Manager leveraging strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity to manage the technical side of our e-Learning platform. You will work closely with our business units to manage the product roadmap, requirements, release schedule, training, and support. You will also be responsible for managing an offshore team of developers and testers to enhance the e-Learning platform, while working closely with e-Learning content creators to ensure an outstanding end-to-end online experience. Duties include but not restricted to: - Manages the release of changes to the e-Learning platform including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing - Oversees new business request queue and ensures that all items receive appropriate prioritization, presentation for approval, and follow-up - Coordinate with multiple vendors and take responsibility for on-time delivery and quality of e-Learning products - Serve as a "go-to" person for questions on e-Learning and provides best practices of supporting the business function with technology. - Establishes product lifecycle best practices - Proactively identifies areas for product and process improvements and recommends solutions - Outline/set training and knowledge-sharing process for team - Manage effective meetings with key constituents from business communities to drive customer/technical requirements (i.e., sets meeting agenda, manages meetings against allotted time, identifies goals of meetings, etc.) - Articulate ideas and technical material clearly for clients outside of technical functions Qualifications - BA/BS or related degree in Educational Technologies, Web Design, Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. MBA or other advanced degrees a plus - 6-8 years professional experience primarily in education/training or web development, developing online content in a variety of media.
- Strong project management skills to ensure all projects complete successfully - Understanding of product planning and release management - Functional knowledge of current SCORM and AICC standards of e-Learning preferred - Customer first mentality with strong focus on the User Experience - At least 2 years experience managing/building products in a Microsoft.Net environment - Experience using the Adobe Connect platform preferred - Ability to take feedback from multiple sources and interpret complex business issues into clear requirements and functional design documents - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Experience with change management and new product introduction. - Tolerance for ambiguity and self-drive to operate in an entrepreneurial setting; comfortable in working in a matrix organization. - Excellent problem solving/analytical skills.
