Our Firm:
We are a toxic torts civil litigation firm representing plaintiffs. We are a small sized firm with 20 attorneys and approximately 80 employees total. We are located in Berkeley, CA. We work in a fast-paced, trial-oriented environment where deadlines are critical. This position will require extensive interaction with our clients during deposition and other phases of litigation. The ability to write clear, concise and persuasive legal briefs is essential for this position. Candidates must be personable, self-assured and motivated to help injured individuals.
Skills Required/Job Description:
Requires a minimum of three years experience in toxic tort litigation and current California Bar membership is also required.
We are looking for lawyers that are excited about representing the underdogs. All candidates must have good writing and communication skills. Key tasks involve all aspects of case management including defending depositions of clients and percipient witnesses; drafting, propounding, and responsding to discovery; and law & motion work. Candidates should also be comfortable working in a deposition environment where numerous defense attorneys are examining the client. Good computer skills, including a working knowledge of MS Word and Access databases is a plus. Flexibility and enthusiasm are desirable attributes.
