Associate Actuary

 

 

Virginia Farm Bureau has an excellent career opportunity for an Associate Actuary. This position will be responsible for rate indications and research related to rate changes, product development, and management decisions for major lines of business.

 

 Qualifications include:  Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science and 5- 7 years experience in the multi-line, property/casualty, actuarial field.  Must have strong PC skills including databases, spreadsheets, and Windows word processing packages; the ability to create macros in Excel using Visual Basic and knowledge of GLM software.  One or more programming languages a plus.  5 exams in Casualty Actuarial Society or equivalent experience preferred.
