We invite you to join our innovative and inspiring team.   McGraw-Hill Education has an immediate opportunity for a Distribution Associate, for the Shipping Department based in Ashland, OH.  The ideal candidate will  have responsibilities  that will involve the operation for unloading cases from conveyor lines and sorting by dock locations (based on carrier and destination), building pallets to ensure intact shipments to customers; loading trucks both by hand and using equipment; responsible for the accurate picking and packing of product to fill customer orders; replenishment of product in loose pick locations; responsible for operation of check station, an area in which all cartons are scanned for accuracy prior to reaching the shipping dock for processing;  picking, packing and processing of priority customer orders; check cartons coming down the conveyor lines for proper packing and good condition of product; use fill and seal machine to fill void in cartons;  assist with training temporary associates for peak receiving periods, and the candidate will assist with daily receiving operations, rotating from task to task as needed.  High School Diploma or equivalent Excellent attendance Work daily and weekend overtime Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a consistent basis Follow verbal and written communications and procedures Teamwork Attention to detail Performs to customer expectations Equipment use: Pallet Jack (motorized and manual); Forklift; Order Picker; Turret Truck (wire guided)  RF scanners (track productivity) Must be able to work comfortably at heights of 30 feet Safety Must be able to work well independently Apply Safety Rules Housekeeping tasks Distribution Experience Work alternative shifts during peak season. Willing and able to rotate to any department within the center.
