Experience:

A leading container manufacturer is looking to add an Assistant Plant Manager to their Central Louisiana site.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a required. A minimum of three years of manufacturing management experience, preferably in a high speed environment. Excellent communication and relationship building experience. Proven ability to motivate, coach and train a team. Ability to meet and exceed profitability objectives. Hands-on working knowledge of the production manufacturing process. Self directed and the ability to make decisions using sound analytical and business judgement. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Meet and exceed our customer's requirements for quality and on-time delivery.

Description:

The Assistant Plant Manager will have responsibility for daily production and work activity of the salaried and hourly teams.  Approximately 80% of the job duties are expected to be performed on the plant floor and the Asst. Plant Manager will function as the key technical and business resource in the area of system operations and production requirements.  Take the lead on special projects and process improvement projects that will be taking place throughout the year at the facility.  One of biggest pieces of this position is being responsible for the development of the salaried and hourly team and promoting a team environment in which teamwork and innovation are used to solve problems.
