This position assists the administrator in administering, directing, and coordinating all activities of the nursing center to carry out its purpose in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and company policy. Performs assigned duties to assist administrator in managing business related activities which achieve the HCR vision and supporting strategies and assists in promoting the center in a manner which promotes the company image as an ethical and high quality provider of health services 2. Provides input to administrator for development of the annual budget; Justifies and defends budget recommendations; Assists in managing final approved budget and the plan it supports; Provides requests to administrator for all needed capital expenditures and purchases above guideline amounts 3. Performs duties as assigned to facilitate the admissions process and marketing activities within the facility 4. Provides input to administrator on marketing call plans for HMOs and PPOs in the area, amount/type of marketing training needed for the facility, and requests for advertising budget and its use 5. Provides input to administrator for products needed in the facility 6. Represents the facility in communications, public relations, and marketing calls in the community as assigned by the administrator 7. Assists in tracking or reviewing accounts receivable and assists in timely collection 8. Completes forms, reports, etc. including State licensure reports, monthly financial reports, Public Health or Department of Labor surveys, plans of correction, responses to corporate requests, replies to residents' council, and others as directed by administrator 9. Initiates facility procedures/systems consistent with HCR needs as outlined by administrator 10. Provides facility related data/information responsive to HCR needs, when requested EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in nursing home administration or related field required * Master's degree preferred * Familiarity with long-term care and/or health care services useful Travel: as required to attend regional meetings and other company and community sponsored functions Principal Contacts: Residents, resident families, staff, visitors, vendors, corporate staff, surveyors, and inspectors. Completed an AIT program, hold a current state administrator license or eligible to sit for test.
