ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER - INTERMEDIATE CARDIAC CARE UNIT

We are searching for a full time Assistant Nurse Manager for our Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit.

Status & Shift: Full time, 72 hours per 2 week pay period, 11:00 P.M. - 7:30 A.M. variable.

Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit Profile:
* 36 bed intermediate cardiac care unit, all cardiac monitored.
* 12 hour shifts with self-scheduling every third weekend
* Post MI patients, open-heart patients, chest pain, arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure are common diagnosis on this unit.
* Critical care orientation.

Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing the nursing plan of care for patients within the assigned unit. Responsible to see that the nursing plan of care meets the physiological and emotional needs of the patients served. Directs patient care through performance and/or leadership of patient care team members and patient care management staff. Assists in the coordination of patient care through the appropriate utilization of all resources: staff, equipment, supplies, etc. As an expert to manage the assigned specialty, is a resource to both the medical center staff and physicians.

Required Education/Experience:
1. Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan
2. ACLS Certification
3. At least 1 year of telemetry experience

Preferred Education/Experience:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field
