Assistant Director, Statistical Programming Wyeth Pharmaceuticals Collegeville, Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA) #20044 Job Summary Manage a Statistical Research and Programming Implementation Group programmers for the support of clinical trials analysis (employed and contracted, U.S. and non-U.S. based). *Assure the implementation resources needed for supporting Wyeth submissions and key initiative programs are met. *Responsible for delivery of all reports defined in CDPP. *Provide leadership in developing and implementing CR&D and GBP standards in association with SR&P deliverables. *Provide high-level Wyeth technology and process training to staff and assist the Head of SR&P to coach, mentor and educate staff to maintain a comprehensive and detailed understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and emerging trends in general, and Wyeth standardized processes in particular. *Involvement with technology assessment and process improvement opportunities. *Lead submission taskforce to physically implement submission-ready clinical reports and for technological advancement projects and/or process improvement projects as required. Job Responsibilities will include strategic project leadership, drug project leadership and client relationship management (CRM), building close working relationships between clinical teams, GBP Implementation Manager, project biostatisticians and taskforce leaders. Basic Qualifications *Bachelors Degree preferrably with a Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Information Systems or related quantitative sciences major. *At least 5 years of relevant work experience with a Doctorate Degree, or 9 years with a Masters Degree or 11 years with a Bachelors Degree. *At least 4 years of pharmaceutical industry related clinical programming skills using SAS. *Understanding of the drug development process in the pharmaceutical industry and a knowledge of the relationship of the core disciplines (Data Management, Biostatistics, Clinical Writing, Medical Monitoring, and Information Systems) in a drug development environment. *Solid interpersonal and teamwork skills, including effective writing and verbal communication, attention to detail and organization. *Project management methodology. *Experience with people management including training, mentoring, project management and team leadership.
