The Principal Financial Group is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Retirement and Investment Services Marketing in our Sacramento, CA office.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to direct the development and implementation of our Principal Funds marketing strategies.  By partnering your understanding of the financial services and investment industry with your leadership and ability to drive change, you will directly impact the success and growth of Principal Funds Distributors.   

You and your team’s efforts will be focused on:

Understanding today’s market and creating strategies to provide value added services to the advisor community as well as our multiple distribution channels.  Ensuring strategies are linked with business unit and corporate high level initiatives support our corporate brand positioning.  Executing successful results around new acquisitions, retention and relationship building. Interacting with a broad group of constituents to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, plus 8-10 years related work experience. FINRA series 6 preferred. Advanced knowledge of business unit and company products required. You must have excellent planning/organizational, problem solving, analytical presentation, listening and communication skills. Excellent leadership skills are required along with excellent time management and decision making-skills. The ideal candidate must have basic computer skills and knowledge of the business unit applications. You also must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy while being detail oriented. Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. Travel is required, including overnight stays.
