The Hospital Education Program, serving a diverse population of over 2,000 children (ages 0-21) annually at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital, seeks applicants for the assistant directorship.  The successful candidate must be eligible for a Postgraduate Professional license in VA with endorsement in special education and at least five years successful teaching experience; supervisory/administrative experience desirable.  The candidate must have a thorough foundation in the special education process and effective practices, a working knowledge of the general education curriculum, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.  Employed on 12-month contract with Charlottesville City Schools.
