Job Responsibilities:

Position will be responsible in assisting the Senior Buyers.  Responsibilities will include similar functions performed by the Senior Buyers but dealing with smaller, less complicated vendors.  Assistant will also perform clerical functions to assist buyers with strategic decisions such as plotting usage, market trends, days inventory, average sell prices versus costs, etc.  Additional functions include relieving the Senior Buyers with administrative functions such as processing orders, confirming POs, auditing receiving discrepancies, confirm cost/pricing, etc.  This position will generate weekly specials, flyers, push lists, customized price lists, etc.  Assistant will also track and plot key metrics to identify opportunities for improvement such as Purchase Allowance percent to sales by vendor and similar reports. 

Experience Required (Minimum Needed):

·         High School graduate or equivalent is required.  Some college is a plus.

·         Excellent customer service skills (internal / external) customers

·         Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills a must

·         Strong organizational skills, time management skills, as well as strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
