Asset Accountant / Material Coordinator

 

Denbury Resources Inc. (DNR) is a growing independent oil and gas company. The Company is the largest oil and natural gas operator in Mississippi, owns the largest reserves of CO2 used for tertiary oil recovery east of the Mississippi River, and holds key operating acreage in onshore Louisiana, Alabama and Texas Barnett Shale areas. The Company increases the value of acquired properties in its core areas through a combination of exploitation drilling and proven engineering extraction practices.

 

Denbury is currently looking for an exempt Asset Accountant / Material Coordinator in our Operations Accounting Department in the Plano, Texas office.  The position will report to the Operations Accounting Manager.

General Duties:

 

This position requires a candidate with a good knowledge of oil and gas tubular, well and facility equipment and a good, basic knowledge of joint interest accounting.  This position will work closely with field personnel and will be responsible for processing material transfers and maintaining warehouse inventory and various reconciliations.

Industry Requirements:

 

Minimum 3-5 years of prior experienceExperience with SAP accounting software a plusExperience with Production Access software a plus

Educational Requirements:

 

BBA / BA or Associates degree in Accounting or Business a plus, but extensive oil and gas experience may qualify.

 

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

 

Work will be conducted mainly in office settings.  Work may require standing, stooping, walking, climbing and carrying paperwork weighing up to 20 pounds.
