PGS Blue Springs, Missouri Branch is currently accepting applications for Armed Security Officers to work at our client site in Independence, MO.  Qualified applicants should meet strict essential functions of the job that encompass high levels of physical and mental abilities and must be able to pass an extensive background investigation to include behavioral assessment surveys, and pre-employment backgrounds investigations. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a U.S. CitizenAt least 21 years of ageHigh School Diploma or G.E.D.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsMinimum of six (6) months previous satisfactory work experience. Security officer, prior law enforcement, or prior military experience is strongly encouraged.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Assist visitors and customers with a legitimate need to gain entry to the site, through the admittance processScreen visitors and customers in an efficient manner in order to expedite their admittance to the siteProvide an atmosphere in which all associates, customers, and visitors know that the company responds to, and cares about their needsCommunicate in a manner that is open, honest, and responsive in all situationsProvide pleasant interaction with associates, customers, and visitorsProvide general information pertaining to the surrounding areas and assistance as requested by visitors and/or customers regarding the site in an effort to ensure customer satisfactionTour assigned route checking for unsafe conditions, security violations, fire hazards, unauthorized persons, etc. Log conditions in DAR or other report formatsObserve and report any suspicious activity to appropriate security/management representativeAssure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirementsEnforce regulations designed to prevent breaches of security and exercise judgment while using discretion in dealing with the emergencies and security violations encountered
