Our Client is a leading provider of high quality IPTV streaming, encoding, decoding and video server upload solutions for telecom operators, service providers, broadcasters and content creators. The company’s portfolio includes MPEG video encoders and decoders, Carrier grade IP video streaming gateways and Enterprise streaming gateways.
Job Description:
The Area Sales Manager is primarily responsible for sales to end users and channel accounts while overseeing all aspects of sales in a given geographic region. He/she will target existing and new accounts for various digital video products.
Candidates must have selling experience of products to the Enterprise and Government markets, both directly and via resellers.
Duties and responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for assigned accounts in a designated area and will oversee all sales activities in the area. The position calls for locating new leads, follow up and finalization of the sale. The successful candidate will be responsible to meet assigned sales targets and revenue quotas.
· Managing, tracking and supporting new and existing customers throughout the sales cycle.
Negotiating best price, terms and product delivery with potential and existing customers. Negotiating contracts if necessary with prospects, clients, and potential value added resellers. A signed contract will include a quote, terms and purchase orders from the customers. Developing close relationships with customers such that each aspect of the customers business is understood and that there is continuous contact at various levels in the customer’s organization. Delivering convincing presentations of our Client's solutions to all levels of prospects organization - General Managers, VP’s, CXO’s, Marketing, Sales, Engineering Managers and Staff. Maintaining a six month (and at times a one-year) rolling forecast for all business in assigned area. Continuous development of new target prospect lists. Proactively cold calling targeted accounts weekly to develop and pre-qualify potential prospects for our Client's solution. Developing relationships that will turn into future business for our Client.· 5+ years of successful sales experience with a proven record of success in selling to large key accounts and selling and developing value-added reseller channels.
· A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or computer science - considered an advantage
· The ability to work independently.
· The ability to generate and close sales.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Willing to travel up to 25% of the time
· Knowledge in digital video/audio technologies
