As an Area Director, you will be responsible for:

 

Managing employees and volunteers. Creating and maintaining a budget. Organizing special events and fund-raising programs. Conducting public speaking engagements with community-based organizations and prospecting corporate sponsorships. Local travel and some evenings and weekends are required. Territory includes state of Vermont and Northern NY, with particular focus in Burlington, VT. Candidate must have reliable transportation.

Requirements:

 

The successful candidate must have 2-3 years of supervisory and sales, plus special event planning and public speaking.  In addition, superior oral/written communication skills are essential.  Some college coursework completed.  Bilingual candidates are a plus.  Position requires travel to Northern, NY and Vermont.
