Position Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Area Director is responsible for efficient and profitable management of roughly 15 Genesis Rehab Services operations in the Maryland & Delaware. This position is also responsible for marketing Rehabilitation Services in the region. The Area Director monitors the standards of clinical services being delivered and maintained in all programs. Candidate is preferred to live within the territory. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Oversees management of all area operations. 2. Supervises the Program Manager, Clinical Specialist and office support personnel. 3. Monitors the standard of clinical services being delivered and maintained in all programs. 4. Reviews strategic plans with senior management to achieve the goals of Genesis Rehab Services, and ensures that policies and procedures of the company are consistently followed. 5. Conducts quarterly area staff meetings. 6. Assumes responsibility for marketing the services of Genesis Rehab Services within the assigned area. 7. Accepts responsibility for meeting budgetary goals for the assigned area. 8. Assumes responsibility for financial P&L for the assigned area. 9. Conducts marketing activity in order to generate new business. 10. Assumes responsibility for revenue generation and expense control. 11. Assumes responsibility for delivery of clinical services. 12. Develops and maintains relationships with customers and payors. 13. Approves staffing levels and the use of purchased services. 14. Assures new contracts are initiated according to GRS standards. 15. Participates in senior management meetings. 16. Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The Area Director must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline or related field, along with a minimum of five years experience in rehabilitation, two of which have been in management and administrative.
