Area Business Manager – SE Florida
Role Purpose –
To achieve sustainable sales performance using multiple channels of customer management.
Accountabilities –
Direct or co-responsibility for customer account management and customer support throughout the region. Establish and measure customer sales goals, growth of company business with assigned customers, addressing of business and credit issues, and the identification of new customer business opportunities within the region. Interaction with distributors, growers and other related industry personnel.Regional product management functions for key species as assigned including oversight, coordination and providing a lead contact role within a territory for the assigned species. Develop plant and evaluate sales trials of all strategic species for the assigned region.Forecasting of product sales, market demands and market trends within the region.Implement use of IPAC data collection for trailing.Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, experience & capabilities –
Critical knowledge:
Bachelors in agricultural related field, or a minimum of 6 years in the vegetable seed and/or produce industry.Minimum of 2 years experience in the vegetable seed business or produce business desired.
Critical experience:
Knowledge of agricultural operations, commercial vegetable production practices, and/or the produce marketing business.Knowledge of key vegetable production regions and practices desirable.
Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities:
Good communication skills that encompass the ability to communicate technical developments in genetics or variety developments to the Syngenta customer base and Syngenta personnel. Proficiency with computer systems and programs.
