This is an exciting opportunity to work at one of the nation's premier free-standing pediatric Level I trauma hospitals.  Primary Children's Medical Center is located in Salt Lake City, UT.  If you are an individual that likes to make a difference, and you enjoy working with other skilled and well trained professionals, this position will interest you.   This position requires a Masters prepared nurse accountable for monitoring and improving patient care within their specialty area by demonstrating expertise in clinical practice, education, consultation and utilization of research.  This position will service the hospital's Children's Medical Unit, a 40 bed unit, generally serving 12 months of age and older with a variety of diagnosis.

Masters degree in Nursing or APRN required. Current & applicable Utah RN License or license eligible. A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated clinical competency and leadership as an RN in the department or specialty care area. BLS Certification. Department specific certification as required (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, Pediatric Resuscitation, NRP Certification, etc.) within 6 months of hire. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English. Demonstrated teaching ability and educational program development. Proficient with adult learning theories and methodologies. Demonstrated ability in research utilization. Demonstrated ability to complete all physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
