This is an Applications/Systems Engineer position for the team developing the new APEX Edge avionics product line. Job will include developing and writing systems requirements for Integrated Display Systems and highly integrated multi-function units/products. Tasks include analyzing airplane or avionic systems, understanding how they work, determining and defining characteristics for each function or interface and document those requirements (including timing, electrical characteristics and/or logic). The job also includes verifying the requirements on integration test benches and/or by participating in actual airplane flight tests.

 

Individual must have or be capable of developing a working knowledge of the airspace navigation and communication systems that drive requirements for communication, navigation and display system avionics products. Prior experience with airplane (i.e. engine display, ICAS, ECS, etc.) or avionic (display systems, AFCS, FMS, CN&I, etc.) systems is be highly desirable. Individual must be fluent in the use of Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, etc.). Experience with DOORS and/or Dimensions software tools would be helpful.

 

Individual must have the interpersonal skill capability to work one on one with a customer as well as work well in a team environment.

 

Travel requirements will vary from 10 to 15% depending on the phase of the project. Individual will be required to work with both onshore and offshore development teams and will be required to travel to those facilities as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a BS degree in Electrical Engineering 0-2 years of engineering experience US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
