Application Programmers
Data Warehouse

The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Health Care Information Systems department, is seeking programmers with a strong database background to support data warehousing and business intelligence efforts. Responsibilities include the design and development of highly efficient processes for populating large data warehouse databases, collaboration with customers to implement effective business intelligence solutions and reports and participation in data warehouse design review and decision-making.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS and experience (typically 3-5 years for Level II; 1-3 years for Level I) in application development or the equivalent combination of education and related experience. Also required is a demonstrated proficiency and conceptual understanding of relational database management systems, strong SQL programming ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
