Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento (SMCS) has two acute care hospital campuses, Sutter General and Sutter Memorial, and has provided health care to residents of Sacramento since 1923. SMCS also includes Sutter Center for Psychiatry, providing psychiatric, mental health and chemical dependency services since 1958, and Sutter Oaks Midtown, a 100-bed skilled nursing facility. With 823 licensed beds, SMCS is not-for-profit and fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. This position manages the Nursing Services computer scheduling applications (One Staff and Kronos).  The Applications Coordinator maintains the administrative functions, tests and approves new application versions and upgrades, provides training for new and current users, develops training materials and conducts audits on Nursing Services computer scheduling applications.  Education:Associates Degree, certification or equivalent education related to information technology is required.  BA desirable.  Equivalent experience as a project manager or program development position in a healthcare environment may be substituted for educational requirement.   Experience:Experience typically gained in one year previous work with planning and implementation of scheduling programs in a hospital, corporate or similarly structured complex environmentExperience teaching others in computer-based scheduling applications is desiredExperience in writing policies, procedures and developing training manuals is preferred Knowledge:Thorough knowledge and understanding of One Staff and Kronos scheduling applications required.Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and report writer programs is required.Ability to manage all phases of complex project simultaneously and adjust to continually changing responsibilities and prioritiesKnowledge of training techniques, customer service programs, schedule development and program design is required
