Role: Application Security Consultant Location: Louisville, KY Are you a fit? Are you an analytical thinker and a self-starter? Assignment Capsule As a Technology Security operations consultant you will: act as a technology expert and specialist in a variety of areas, including disaster recovery, information security, network analysis, design, engineering and network communications. Establish key business operations relationships, providing an avenue to assess and recommend operational changes and enhancements Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency Serve as a security technical analyst and advisor on projects to evaluate new technology resources for program compliance by effectively using industry standard evaluation criteria, which includes the delivery of formal papers and technical reports. Provide security related research and analysis for Network and Application security. Partner with the IT and business operations areas and with both internal and external parties to resolve technical security issues. Develop application/Network security architecture standards. Create testing procedures, requirements, documents and evaluation methods using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio Access Communicate with both technical and non-technical users to determine individual requirements. Role Essentials Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience Broad IT experience, preferably in a large corporate environment Knowledge and experience in the field of INFORMATION SECURITY and PRIVACY. Intermediate Web technology knowledge (i.e., HTTP, HTML, XML, SQL. .NET etc.) and understanding of software vulnerabilities (i.e. SQL Injection, XSS, buffer overflows etc.). Experience in custom application design processes like SDLC and Information Life Cycle Management, Digital Rights Management and Knowledge Management will be necessary. Experience in the one or more areas of network and application security architecture for Internet, Extranet, and Intranet systems Web application security Mainframe application security Single-sign on PKI RDP/Terminal Services Secured FTP, SSH, Telnet Non-password-based authentication technologies (smart card, biometrics etc.) integration and Wireless LAN (802.11x) and mobile (WAP) security. Experience in Secure Remote Access and SSL based VPN solutions, cellular air card modems, network streaming, and Wi-Fi technologies will be PLUS and helpful in this role. Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems for both servers and work stations (laptops and desktops) including security controls. Role Desirables CISSP certification and/or PMP certification Reporting Relationships You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
